At the top of the city, better be at The Roof!

I had been invited to the media preview of The Roof, One Avenue and it really brought me to a whole new level. Think about it, every time I would want to go to a club, KL is the place in mind, every time we would want to drink and smoke cigars, I'll be at a wine bar somewhere at Damansara Heights, or just the usual beer, I'll probably be at Sunway Giza. When I heard about the launching of The Roof, I knew I just had to be there! I was invited over by Donovan from Manoah Consultancy and yeah I got pretty excited on it!

The Roof is located at One Avenue, Bandar Utama, which is not too far from home. It covers over 50,000 square feet (yeaps its that huge!) and has a great panoramic 360 view of the city with an open Helipad! It features 5 different outlets and it is Amazing! They are:

- Strathosphere - a luxury rooftop champagne bar
- Signature - stylish, premiere gastro-lounge
- Malt & Leaf - Single Malt & Cigar lounge
- Score - an Exhilarating sports bar
- Play - a designer super club

Honestly for myself, I think its a great place to hang with friends,  a date or even family! You can get good food at Signature's, have fun with the dudes watching football at the Score, indulge in some fine cigars (yeah thats definitely for me!) at Malt & Leaf, have awesome Saturday night outs with friends at Play or bring a very special someone to Stratosphere for a fine glass of champagne and a magnificent view!

I headed over there a little late as I was caught up with work, but still managed to join all the Media & Bloggers for a tour of The Roof. The Roof is still under construction, so we couldn't see certain parts of it, but the overall tour was great! Notable Personalities such as Deborah Henry, Cay Kujipers, Nadine Ann Thomas, Peter Davis & Carl Graham gave the tour of each individual room, and it heightens my hopes up when I got to see Malt & Leaf

Lets head to some pictures of the tour:

One thing for sure, I know that this is going to be the next big thing once it launches in November! You have everything at one place, at the top of the city. And I'll be definitely coming back to sample some fine single malts & cigars =)

I wanna thank Donovan & The Roof for having me there. Once it opens, be sure to check it out as it will be one of the best experiences of your life!

Hot girls, Beer and Sausages at Carlsberg Oktoberfest Finale

 photo DSC_0684_zpsd061f3b7.jpg

Every year Oktoberfest gets bigger and better, and with Carlsberg, the finale was held at 1 Utama. Plenty of beer drinkers came over to join in the fun as there was so much to drink, so much to eat and great performances which led us all on to a great night!

Carlsberg and 3 imported Bavarian beer brands Erdinger, Franziskaner & Lowenbrau was served in limited edition 'stein' which customers could bring back to add to their collection. More than that, the Oktoberfest Oom-Pa-Pah band flown in from Germany sang germanic folksongs and contemporary favourites all night long.

I headed over there with ze boss Andy, and soon joined in the fun with everyone else. Drinks, beer, music, GIRLS, what more can one ask for? :)

Lets head to some pictures that night:

Chilling out there was a great experience and even though we didn't know how to sing all those German songs, the fellowship and laughter were the ones which brought the whole event up! Can't wait for next year's!

Rocking out with AAR & Five for Fighting at Arthurs Day

 photo arthursDCP_7435_zpsb7d00de3.jpg

This post is a little late as I've been travelling around for work and was pretty busy, but who can forget a festive celebration like Arthur's Day? Arthur Guinness has created a legacy with his stout and definitely is one of the best drinks in the world, so the more reason to celebrate his creation

Last year we managed to see the Guinness trailer going around different bars for Arthurs Day and I have learnt to pour Guinness the right way which is the 2 pint pour method. As for this year, it is back to the basics with an awesome celebration with Artists from around the world performing on that very day! Held at Sepang, Plenty of Guinness Lovers came together to watch acts such as Five For Fighting, All American Rejects & The Wanted

I managed to receive VIP passes for Arthur's Day and I arrived there late myself, as I was still caught up with work and was waiting for Eileen & Joanna to come over. but no worries to that, I still managed to reach in time for Five For Fighting! They brought back the classics and of course their most famous song, Superman.

Five For Fighting

We headed over to the VIP area where a nice free flow of beer was poured out for us. The only one thing regrettable is that we had to use plastic cups since it is at an outdoor area. The original Guinness Pint Glasses would have made it better *just saying

It then came time for All American Rejects to come on stage! I watched them at their last concert in 2009 for the DIGI Music Live and they have still kept their originality and their craziness at its maximum level. We could see everyone jumping to all the old and new hits from them

This GIF is taken with the Samsung S4 feature GIF Image. cool huh?

As The Wanted came out, half the crowd left. I think it was a mistake for The Wanted to perform at Arthur's Day, as well, their fan base is mostly teenage - college girls which in general, don't appreciate Guinness. Or if the event was to be planned better, AAR should have taken the spotlight for the final performance.

All in All it was a great day to be partying the night out with Guinness, Just can't wait to see the lineup or what is gonna happen next year for Arthur's Day!
